Rubus creates the space to talk 02/04/09

Rubus has opened its doors to 'Open Space'. Open Space is a great technique for enabling people to have powerful conversations about the things that matter to them.

Used to identify priorities for forward action from community consultations, conferences or planning processes the 'Open Space' technique "connects personal responsibility with fresh thinking by creating structured opportunities for passionate and powerful conversations that inspire meaningful action."

An 'Open Space' event offers flexibility with structure, dynamism with a clear outcome and an equal opportunity for everyone to use their voice. The technique is used extensively by NHS Trusts, Local authorities, Government departments and the voluntary and private sectors.

'Open Space' is good for large events and small (5 to 2000+ people!) and allows people from different walks of life to participate on an equal footing.
